The event was moderated by Valentin Shubin, Head at the Tourism Development Centre at the Centre of Strategic Developments.

The forum concluded with the award ceremony for the winners of the project of the Person of the Health Resort Industry 2025. Health Resorts are Made by People, organised by EXPOCENTRE in partnership with The Health Resort Industry magazine.

The key mission of the project is to tell the stories of real people who have contributed to the development of the industry, and these are not only successful managers, but also invisible heroes, ordinary employees of health resorts.

The award has been awarded since 2018, and during this time, 62 heroes from different parts of our country have become the Persons of the Health Resort Industry. This year, as part of the Russian Healthcare Week in Moscow, nine more new Persons of the Health Resort Industry received awards. The certificates were presented by Sergey Dmitreev, Editor-in-Chief of The Health Resort Industry magazine.

For many years, the hallmark of MedTravelExpo has been the annual International Medical Tourism Workshop, organised by the MedicaTour Agency of Medical Tourism and EXPOCENTRE. This is a closed event, during which the project participants hold talks with leading foreign buyers right at the exhibition venue. Representatives of medical tourism agencies from Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, India, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Tunisia, and Turkey participated in the workshop in 2025.

As a result of 180 meetings, framework agreements on further cooperation were concluded, as well as plans were outlined to develop the export of medical services to Russia and increase the flow of foreign patients coming to Russian medical institutions for treatment.

On 10 December 2025, Russian Healthcare Week hosted the 2nd Assembly of the National Association of Healthcare Bloggers.

Representatives of government agencies, professional communities, and media platforms took part in the dialogue about the present and future of the blogosphere in Russia during the assembly’s plenary session. The event was moderated by Olga Bezzubenko, President at the National Association of Healthcare Bloggers, Head of the Section for Development and Promotion of Personal Brands of Medical Specialists “The Doctor’s Brand” at the Russian Society for Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases.

The National Association Managers of Healthcare is traditionally the most active participant and organiser of the conference programme. In 2025, it organised three events on the industry’s relevant topics. They were the Session on the NGO as an Architect of the Medical Community, the Session on Personnel Looking at Digits: from Problems to Solutions, and the Session on Moving Forward: Scenarios for Healthcare Development. More than 20 leading industry experts, from practicing doctors and lawyers to technological visionaries and top clinic managers, presented and discussed a comprehensive view of the future of medicine, where the development of professional communities, digital tools and patient orientation are becoming the key to solving systemic problems.

The first Session on the NGO as an Architect of the Medical Community was opened and moderated by Muslim Muslimov, Chair at the Association Managers of Healthcare, member of the Civic Chamber of Russia. In his speech, he identified non-profit organisations as a key platform for consolidating initiatives and dialogue with the state.

The second Session on Personnel Looking at Digits: from Problems to Solutions was moderated by Anton Gorban, Advisor on Innovations to the Chair at the Association of Managers of Healthcare, expert and head of innovative products, and was devoted to technological responses to today’s key challenge, which is a shortage of personnel.

The final Session on Moving Forward: Scenarios for Healthcare Development, led by Gennady Stryuk, Deputy Head of the HSE Laboratory for Human-Centricity and Leadership Practices, brought together management cases from different segments.

By joining forces, the Association Managers of Healthcare and its partners and colleagues carried out an ambitious preparatory work, which became the key to a brilliant event that opened new horizons for the association's members. Strong partnerships were established, ambitious projects were discussed, and vectors of cooperation with the medical community and public organizations for 2026-2027 and beyond were outlined.

The event was moderated by Anna Solomakhina, founder and CEO of Medical Business School, business consultant on clinic opening and management, and healthcare organiser.

The conference participants discussed the topics of trends in management in 2025-2035, what is worth paying attention to, and a clinic’s brand & a top manager’s brand & a doctor’s brand: what is the first thing to develop, and how to achieve balance. The topics of three panels were the key formula for success in organising business processes in a profitable clinic, how to attract employees in conditions of severe personnel shortage, and how to attract and retain patients in a medical organisation.

The final chord of the programme of Russian Healthcare Week 2025 was the 5th Scientific and Educational Forum THE YOUNG MEDICINE 2025, held on 15 December as a satellite event at Sechenov University. The forum’s participants discussed key topics of modern medicine: gene and cell therapy, digitalization of healthcare, engineering, regenerative medicine, intellectual property, and ways to introduce innovations into clinical practice.
