Experts discussed development trends of resort industry
Russian Healthcare Week 2025 hosted the Forum on Health and Spa Resorts: Trends, Concepts, Marketing, Quality, Personnel for owners, managers, top managers and marketers of health resorts and medical centres, which brought together leading industry speakers and experts of services in the medical and wellness tourism. The forum was organised by the Centre of Strategic Developments and EXPOCENTRE with the support of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
The forum was moderated by Valentin Shubin, Head at the Tourism Development Centre at the Centre of Strategic Developments.
The programme included the analytical session on the diagnostics of the Russian health and spa resort industry: figures, analytics, challenges, growth points; the session on trends: equipment, innovations, fashionable techniques and solutions; the session on what the visitors expect from health resorts and for what they are willing to pay more; the session on how medicine and HoReCa create a new health economy; and the session on architectural solutions, landscape and style for creation and rebranding of a health resort. The concluding session was devoted to the system management of a clinic’s and a health resort’s marketing and the experience of the head of one of the top 200 private clinics in Russia. Its speaker was Olga Berestova, a founder Medical Corporate University.
On the same day, the 6th National Congress of Export of Medical Services took place. It was organised by the Russian Ministry of Health, the Civic Chamber of Russia, EXPOCENTRE, and the Union of Russian Cities.
The congress was moderated by Nikolay Daikhes, Chair at the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for Entrepreneurship in Healthcare and Medical Industry, Director at the National Medical Research Center for Otorhinolaryngology of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Russia, Chief Freelance Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology of the Russian Ministry of Health, First Deputy Chair at the Commission for Healthcare of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.
The congress speakers were representatives of the Russian State Duma, heads of relevant federal and regional executive authorities, leading research centres of the Russian Ministry of Health and clinics, major Russian and foreign medical tourism agencies, and the industry’s leading experts.
