International Conference on Health for Everyone brings together world’s leading specialists

The International Conference on Health for Everyone, organised by the IKEM Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague (the Czech Republic), the Research Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at University College London (the UK), the National Medical Research and Development Cardiology Centre of the Russian Ministry of Health Care, the Healthy Heart charity foundation, the Czech Council for Business Cooperation with Russia, and the Russian Council for Business Cooperation with the Czech Republic with the support of the World Trade Center Moscow and ExpocentreAO has taken place within Russian Healthcare Week 2019.

The world’s leading specialists focused on the discussion of the important role of epidemiology in medicine, trends and results of cardiologic and cancer research, and the implementation of digital technologies in health care through international scientific cooperation.

The conference was moderated by Vera Adamkova, Cardiology Center head at the IKEM Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague, Chairperson of the Healthcare Committee of the Czech Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies, and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Czech state-run universal medical insurance company VZP.

More than 30 known doctors and specialists from the Czech Republic and the UK, among them Czech Deputy Health Minister and leading epidemiology expert Roman Prymula, Czech cardiologist Prof. Petr Widimsky, leading Czech expert, Doctor of Medicine Petr Kacer, one of the world’s best epidemiological specialists, London University Prof. Martin Bobak, Chairman of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Committee on Entrepreneurship in Health Care and Medical Industry Valery Sergiyenko, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Russian Ministry of Health Care Sergey Muravyov, Sverdlovsk Region Health Minister Andrey Tsvetkov, and their colleagues spoke at the conference.

Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dmitry Kurochkin greeted the audience. He noted that the conference held as part of Russian Health Care Week offered every opportunity to speak about professional topics and see the best practices of international centers and new capacities of the pharmaceutical industry.

Vera Adamkova summed up the conference results and expressed hope that “cooperation can improve our life and the life of our patients.”
