Russian Health Care Week 2019 opened at Expocentre Fairgrounds
Russian Health Care Week 2019 opened its doors at Expocentre Fairgrounds. This major series of events is organised by the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Russian Ministry of Health Care and Expocentre AO with support of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Russian Agency for Tourism. It is held under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Week traditionally brings together such major international exhibitions as the Zdravookhraneniye 2019 International Exhibition for Medical Engineering, Products and Consumables, the Healthy Lifestyle 2019 International Exhibition for Rehabilitation and Preventive Treatment Facilities, Medical Aesthetics, Pharmaceuticals and Products for Healthy Lifestyle, and MedTravelExpo 2019. Medical Clinics. Health and Spa Resorts. International Exhibition for Medical and Wellness Services, Health Improvement and Medical Treatment. These shows occupy 50,000 sq m to welcome 1,000 companies from 37 countries, which demonstrate the best medical equipment and innovative health care developments.
The official opening ceremony was attended by the leader of the LDPR faction in the Russian State Duma Vladimir Zhirinovsky who talked about healthy lifestyle and problems related to advertising of pharmaceuticals and unhealthy food.
Chairman of the Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs of the Russian State Duma Yaroslav Nilov talked about the need to support Russian manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and to promote healthy lifestyle.
Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy of the Russian Federation Council Valery Ryazansky noted that the Russian national health care system had made a great step forward in the recent years.
President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin said that the Week brought together so many respected foreign and Russian participants that it was a great opportunity to evaluate the experience of colleagues in the use of high-tech developments.
Welcome addresses of Russian Minister of Health Care Veronika Skvortsova and First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Sergey Tsyb were read during the ceremony.
Russian Health Care Week 2019 also received warm wishes from Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation Oleg Bochkarev, Director of the Department of Public Health and Communications of the Russian Ministry of Health Care Aleksey Kiselev-Romanov, Director of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Medical Industries of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Aleksey Alekhin, Deputy of the Moscow City Duma Tatiana Batysheva, Chairperson of the Committee on Health Care of the Czech Parliament Vera Adamkova.
Co-chairman of the Organising Committee of Russian Health Care Week and Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly Nikolay Gerasimenko opened Russian Health Care Week2019. He also moderated the 10th Anniversary International Forum on Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Promotion of Healthy Lifestyle “For Healthy Life”, which was the first event of the day.
The plenary meeting was devoted to priorities of the implementation of the Health Care and Demography national projects. The covered topics were related to prevention of non-communicable diseases, promotion of healthy lifestyle and modernization of primary health care. Participants included Director General of National Medical Research Centre of Cardiology of the Russian Ministry of Health Care Sergey Boytsov, Director of the National Medical Research Center for Preventive Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health Care Oksana Drapkina, Director of the National Medical Research Radiological Center of the Russian Ministry of Health Care Andrey Kaprin and other experts.
