Inclusion-Expo forum's organising committee discusses key organisational issues
The Inclusion-Expo organising committee held its first meeting at Expocentre on May, 30. The Inclusion-Expo. Rehabilitation, Accessible Environment. Assistive Technologies international forum will take place on December, 4 within of the Russian Health Care Week 2019.
It is not accidental that the forum will be held on the leading exhibition venue, Expocentre, during the Russian Health Care Week which annually gathers together leading medical and health care professionals, according to Tatiana Batysheva, the organising committee chairperson, the head of the "Healthy Child" working group at the Russian Government's Coordination Council for the Russian Decade of Childhood, and chief free-lance specialist of the Russian Health Ministry in the field of children's rehabilitation.
Attention of leading inclusion specialists is drawn to the forum.
The forum involves members of working groups of the Russian Government's Coordination Council for the Russian Decade of Childhood, representatives of the State Duma and the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Russian Health Ministry, the Russian Education Ministry, the Russian Culture Ministry, the Russian Defense Ministry, and the Federal Tourism Agency, leading free-lance specialists of the Russian Health Ministry, regional executive agencies in the field of education and social policy, the Abilympics movement, OPORA of Russia, the Russian Social Insurance Fund, the Federal Mandatory Health Insurance Fund, the Russian Civic Chamber, the National Medical Board, the Moscow Department of Labor and Social Protection, the Russian Civic Council of Medical Industry, the National Resort Association, the National Council for Health Tourism, the Voluntary Physical Education Union, the Russian Orthodox Church's Synodic Department for Church Charity and Social Service, relevant higher education establishments, manufacturers, charity funds, the Russian Society of Disabled Persons, and other civic organisations of people with disabilities and limited mobility.
In the opinion of the organising committee chairperson, the forum will present a unique platform for inter-agency communication and open dialogue between representatives of the medical community, social protection, manufacturers of rehabilitation equipment and individual rehabilitation means, charity funds, communities of disabled persons, psychologists, and educators.
The goal of the new project is to discuss key problems of the state policy and social and medical support to people with disabilities, Tatiana Batysheva said in her comments on the forum's mission. The forum will also be the first discussion of pressing problems of disabled children at a professional level.
Ekaterina Bednova, the organising committee deputy chairperson and head of Expocentre's Exhibition Operating Management, greeted the audience and said that the Zdravookhraneniye exhibition celebrates its 45th anniversary in the same year as Expocentre celebrates the 60th anniversary. Since 2006, the exhibition has been developing as part of the Russian Health Care Week international scientific and practical forum, which also comprises such exhibitions as Healthy Lifestyle; MedTravelExpo international exhibition for medical and wellness services, health improvement and medical treatment. The Inclusion-Expo. Rehabilitation. Accessible Environment. Assistive Technologies international forum will broaden the range of issues addressed by the Week, and the exhibition will grow with rehabilitation products, Ekaterina Bednova said.
The meeting participants proposed ways to organise the forum and identified the most relevant subjects for professional discussions.
The forum's organising committee will hold its next meeting in October 2019.
