Post Show Report Russian Health Care Week 2015

On December 7-11, 2015 Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the Russian Health Care Week. The Week united a series of international trade shows and major conferences. The Forum is traditionally devoted to the latest trends in Russian and global medical industries.

This large-scale event in the health care industry was organized by the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Russian Ministry of Health Care and Expocentre. The Forum was supported by the Council of the Federation of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Moscow City Government, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the World Health Organization.

The Forum participants were welcomed by Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly Sergey Naryshkin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich, Minister of Health Care of the Russian Federation Veronika Skvortsova, and Chairperson of the Council of the Federation Committee on Social Policy Valery Ryazanskiy.

The participants in the official opening ceremony of the Russian Health Care Week and its associated events were Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly Sergey Zheleznyak, Head of the LDPR political party Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, Deputy Ministers of Health Care of the Russian Federation Sergey Krayevoy and Tatyana Yakovleva, Deputy Ministers of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Gulnaz Kadyrova and Sergey Tsyb, Head of the Russian Federal Service on Surveillance in Health Care Mikhail Murashko, Director of the Federal Biomedical Agency Vladimir Uiba, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin, State Secretary and Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia Aleksandr Torshin, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Health Care, RAS Member Nikolay Gerasimenko, Member of the Council of the Federation Committee on Social Policy Vladimir Krugly, and General Director of Expocentre Sergey Bednov.

Exhibition

The Russian Health Care Week 2015 held at Expocentre Fairgrounds featured two major international trade shows Zdravookhraneniye 2015 and Healthy Lifestyle 2015. Their total exhibition area amounted to 50,000 sq m with participation of 1,000 companies from 40 countries.

National pavilions were organized by Germany, Hong Kong, China, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, and the Czech Republic. This year’s premiere was a group stand arranged by Hong Kong.

World known companies showcased their advanced developments almost in all sectors of the modern medicine, among them Philips, Toshiba, Kodak, Stormoff, MS Westfalia, Physiomed, Storz, Fujifilm, Hitachi, Sаmsung, Heinemann, Mindray, and others. The Russian exhibitors were presented by the following leading manufacturers: Amico, Vinar, Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant, Kostromskaya Medtechnika, M.C. Aseptica, Kront-M, Lomo, Tatchempharmpreparaty, Electron, Urals Optical and Mechanical Plant etc.

Philips, the partner of the Zdravookhraneniye international exhibition, demonstrated a number of innovative solutions for cardiology from prevention and diagnostics to emergency, operative therapy, and rehabilitation.

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the PharmMedProm 2015 trade show and conference. Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov attended the event and said “the Russian latest achievements in pharmaceutical and medical industries displayed at the show are aimed at improving our citizens’ well-being and their provision with efficient, safe and available pharmaceuticals and medical products”.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Sergey Tsyb and Deputy Minister of Health Care of the Russian Federation Sergey Krayevoy also attended the trade show. They took a look at the products made by Russian pharmaceutical companies such as Geropharm, Moscow Endocrine Plant, Biocad, Pharmasyntez, Nanolek, and others.

The industry experts showed a particular interest in group stands of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation and Rostec Corporation.

The Expocentre for Counterfeit-Free Exhibitions project was carried out at the Week.

Visitor attendance at Zdravookhraneniye 2015 and Healthy Lifestyle 2015 amounted to 21,413 people.

Recognition

For the first time the Forum was opened with an award ceremony for the winners in the Russian Competition for the Best Project of Public Private Partnership in the Health Care Industry organized by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. The awards were handed out by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly Sergey Zheleznyak, Deputy Minister of Health Care Sergey Krayevoy, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin, and First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Care, RAS Member Nikolay Gerasimenko.

At the official opening ceremony representatives of the Russian pharmaceutical and medical industries were awarded for their contribution to the industry development. Awards and commemorative diplomas were given to representatives of the Ministry of Health Care, heads of industry associations, universities, and Russian manufacturing companies.

Associated Events

A key event of the Russian Health Care Week 2015 was the 6th International Forum on Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Promotion of Healthy Lifestyle – For Healthy Life.

The main topic of discussion was joining efforts of the government, local authorities, public organizations, international experts and sustainable business to increase life expectancy and reduce death rate caused by non-communicable diseases as well as to create a common preventive environment and promote a healthy lifestyle among population.

The Forum featured round tables devoted to protection from cardiovascular diseases, “business and society for healthy Russia”, non-communicable disease prevention and healthy lifestyle promotion among children and teenagers, prevention and early diagnosis of respiratory diseases, care at a distance system in Russia, and to other issues.

The Forum featured the meeting of the Special Commission on Medical Prevention of the Expert Health Care Council of the Russian Ministry of Health Care. There was also a meeting of heads of medical prevention facilities of primary health care.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnaz Kadyrova held an open meeting of the working group on expansion of production of goods for disabled and senior persons “Russian Technologies for Rehabilitation Industry”.

The 10th International Conference on the Current State and Prospects of Medical Developments in High Performance Sport “SportMed 2015” was a success.

The event was organized by the Russian Ministry of Health Care, the Russian Federal Biomedical Agency, the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, the Russian Association of Sport Medicine and Rehabilitation of Sick and Disabled (RASMIRBI) and Expocentre and supported by the Russian Olympic Committee, Russian Paralympic Committee, Russian Ministry of Sport, International Federation of Sports Medicine, Federation of Sports Medicine Associations of the CIS countries and the Baltic states.

The 13th Russian Forum. Winter Session on Circulation of Medical Products was organized by Imperia Congress and Exhibition Company; the general partner was Expocentre. Representatives of the Russian Federal Service on Surveillance in Health Care, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the Government Executive Office, the Federal State Statistics Service, Philips, BioVitrum, Electron and other Russian leading experts discussed the key industry issues.

OPORA RUSSIA, Delovaya Rossiya, Associations of Private Clinics of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod held the 6th Annual Conference on Non-State Health Care: Current State and Prospects. Leading Russian and international health care companies and educational institutions presented unique educational programs and told about the best training practices for the health care specialists.

Another important event was the 17th Annual Scientific Forum “Stomatology 2015”, Functional Diagnostics in Dentistry organized by the Central Research Institute of Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Russian Ministry of Health Care and Expocentre.

The Forum featured the 3rd Russian Congress on Complementary Medicine and the 1st Congress on Traditional Medicine of the SCO, BRICS and EEU. The events were organized by the Russian Professional Medical Association of Traditional and Folk Medicine, the National Medical Chamber and Expocentre with support of the Russian State Duma Committee on Health Care.

The Congress featured meetings devoted to complementary medicine. At the section meeting “Traditional Chinese Medicine” Chinese and Russian health workers discussed application of Chinese pharmaceuticals and treatment in Russia. At the closing session representatives of these countries signed an agreement on strategic partnership and cooperation.

The conference on 3D Medical Technology was first held at the Russian Health Care Week. It was organized by Expocentre and National Research University “Higher School of Economics”.

The Drop of Life Foundation of Promotion and Support of Breast Feeding organized the conference “Preventive Treatment of Flue and Acute Respiratory Viral Infection for Pregnant Women, Nursing Mothers and Infants”.

PHARMMIX Pharmaceutical Conference was first organized by Restec Exhibition Company together with Expocentre.

The Russian Health Care Week 2016 and the next editions of Zdravookhraneniye and Healthy Lifestyle international exhibitions will run from December 5 to 9, 2016 at Expocentre Fairgrounds.
